LEED Certified Construction Program
LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
Created by the U.S. Green Building Council in 1998, the LEED program creates measurable certification criteria for virtually all aspects of construction, design and occupancy. LEED Certification revolves around three-bottom-line thinking - people, planet, profit.
LEED certification is based on establishing green standards where no previous standard exists and encouraging thorough adoption of rigorous standards already defined by institutions and researchers. Builders and architects can use the LEED model as a basis for ensuring their work takes less from our finite terrestrial resources now and will endure with a lower overall operating footprint for the foreseeable future. It is truly taking responsibility for the well being of everyone to build within the LEED guidelines.
